In this section, you'll find all the needed data to help you through your journey in Egypt such as currency , weather and local transportation

Local Transportation

The country offers a well-connected network of transportation modes, making it easy to navigate and explore. Attendees can rely on taxis, buses, and ride-sharing services to move around effortlessly ex (Uber or Careem).

Visa and Travel Requirements

All attendees must hold a valid passport or travel document with a minimum validity of 6 months from date of departure, for more information please check this link.

Citizens from the following countries are not required to obtain a visa when traveling to Egypt.

Bahrain -Saudi Arabia-Macao-UAE-Hong Kong-Kuwait-Oman

Citizens of the following countries can obtain visa upon arrival.

Armenia-Georgia-New Zealand-South Korea-Australia-Japan-Norway               Ukraine-Belarus-Macedonia-Russia-USA-Canada-EU Countries-Malaysia             Serbia-Vatican

Citizens from other countries not mentioned above need to obtain an entry visa through Egyptian Embassies or consulates in their countries. In this case, they can request for a visa facilitation letter via online registration by providing flight details, passport details, and a copy of the valid passport.

For holders of Diplomatic, Special and Mission passports or travel documents from ALL countries, an entry visa to Egypt before traveling is required (visa exempt and visa on arrival options mentioned above are not applicable). A visa facilitation letter can be provided. Please indicate your preference via online registration by providing your flight details, passport details, and a copy of bio-page of your valid passport or travel document.

Welcome Desk

A Welcome and Onsite Registration Desk will be located in the lobby of the main hotels.

Currency

The Egyptian currency unit is the Pound (EGP). The exchange rate is approximately 1USD= 30.90 L.E. Foreign currencies are exchangeable at banks, airports, hotels, and exchange offices. Bank notes are available in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 denominations. International credit cards are accepted in major establishments. ATM and currency exchange facilities are available at the hotels.

Time Zone

Egyptian Time (Cairo) is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+3).

Weather

During November , the daytime temperature in Cairo reaches an average maximum between 20 and 22 °C, and the temperature falls to an average minimum of 8 °C overnight. It is advised to wear winter clothes during this time of the year.

Electricity

The standard voltage in Egypt is 220 volts. The outlet is the same type used in continental Europe and many other countries.
